Read it again.
As I read it, one word stands out: “Jeffersonians”.
It would seem that the “hero” was on the wrong side. “Jeffersonians” would be a fine name for the Freedom forces.
And the Mayor was an idiot. If he was trying to be silent, he shouldn’t have “snapped” his magazine into his pulse-rifle, he should have “eased” it in, holding the mag release lever down so that it didn’t “Snap”.
Details, details. Good little ditty, though.
Ease it in. Like a gentleman.
Yeh, “Jeffersonians” might need a re-write, that’s why everything is always in draft, because unless times had changed terribly and they all became a bunch of meth-lab hippie pot-farming LSD-liberals who had taken over from the kind of real people that I know who live up around Redding… 🙂
