Monumental Stupidity

One of the great things about having a blog is that you don’t have wait and hope that you “Letter to the Editor” will be published (it is also pretty cheap therapy), espically since responses to the published ‘letters’ you see are even moreso rarely accepted.

So when I saw a letter by David Long of Seattle titled, “Monument to Stupidity” I just figured that I post about it here instead of wasting my time eamiling the editor in the hopes he’d print it and give Mr. long a little education.

Long’s ‘letter’ went as follows

Monument to stupidity

One apparently popular idea for keeping “undesirables” out of our country is the construction of high walls with barbed wire along the border. In an escalation of absurdity, the Pentagon is preparing to protect us from invaders by deploying the military to secure the border. Apparently this is also a wildly popular strategy.

Fellow citizens, after these two ideas are implemented and you are all congratulating each other on the success of your efforts to keep foreigners out, how long will it take you to realize that you have imprisoned yourselves within a circle of barbed wire and armed soldiers? How will you like living in captivity and forced to contemplate the depth of your stupidity?

David Long, Seattle

It is my understanding that portions of the Berlin Wall are still standing, so it can’t be that far away of a memory, can it?

When will pro-illegal immigration dweebies figure out that a prison requires the guns to be pointed in a certain direction? If they are pointed out, it is a deterrent to entry, not a prison.

In a ‘letter’ a couple down from Long’s another Seattlite by the name of Zachary Murphy makes a lame joke on the topic of immigrants ‘doing the jobs American’s don’t want to’.

This is another meme I’d like to quash.

Anyone who knows anything knows that it is Mr. Roboto who does the jobs that nobody wants to.

Just ask Dennis DeYoung of Styx.
