What is it with the left

They are now considering just the mention of the 2nd Amendment as a threat of murder, all the while they propose to regulate how you choose to die.

This statement from a North Texas Tea Party member

With about 36 hours to organize and no paid staff (unlike the other side), we dominated in front of Sen. Cornyn’s office today (July 23rd); about 200 conservatives opposing maybe 20 MoveOn people; it was fantastic!  Everyone was polite; we always are.  As for the other side, if you were outnumbered 10 to 1 by believers in the 2nd Amendment, wouldn’t you be?

With a smiley emoticon after the question mark makes TBogg (front pager at the hyper-left hate site FireDogLake) quake in her boots.

The little smiley face after the murder threat was a nice touch, don’t you think?

And with just a little perusal of the rest of the FDL site, you see that not only do TBogg and her cohorts support rationed care, they are rabidly encouraging it.

Fellow front pager, Dean Baker, believes that an Obama appointed government commission which would determine which treatments will be covered my Medicare in the future is such a great idea that similar legislation should be inserted into both pieces of legislation currently making their way through Congress.

Elsewhere at FDL, Thers, mocks people who are concerned about their “end of life decisions” being controlled by a bureaucrat. Then posts about how his mother chose to go through hospice after she was diagnosed with cancer. Then declares that the hospice option is the ONLY responsible decision one can make.

I could probably quite easily pick out a dozen similar posts across the leftosphere from over the weekend.

I’m not even forty years old yet, but having guys like Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (Rahm Emanuel’s brother), who believes that doctors should look at the social justice aspect of the treatments they wield, being put in positions of high influence frightens me just a bit.
