    If Pelosi et al parsed that the same way they parse the Second Amendment, it would come out looking something like “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.”

    Like the read the Bible selectively, they’d also read Thomas Jefferson selectively. They already do in-fact; they read just enough Jefferson to push freedom from religion, but not enough to get into his libertarian aspects.
