The Case of Norman Kingsley Mailer

A Lovecraftian tale for the modern age: a noted Provincetown writer dies. His last work-in-progress: a multivolume investigation of the Personified Nature of Modern Evil. His desk is preserved as he left it, untouched. In the middle of the desk, a copy of an obscure book, not known to the public (#253,253 on Amazon). The book’s very title lures the unwary within its pages by the promise of explaining that Evil Personified, much like the dangerous secrets of the legendary Necronomicon. Is Ron Rosenbaum the new Abdul Alhazred? It’s said the horrid truths of this tome utterly demolish the very foundation of the writer’s multivolume effort. Did they demolish his reason, too — or, perhaps, his very life?!!!
