That’ll get ’em riled

The radical left likes to consider themselves the moderate center of America. This meme started the moment the Democrats won the 2006 mid-terms.

The people had seen the light of Progressivism and had elected Progressives to do “The Work of the People” was the message that was spread across the blogosphere wider than a drunken cheerleader’s ankles on prom night.

They, of course, forgot the fact that easily 1/3 of the Democrats elected into Congress that year were Blue Dogs. The leftists like to consider these politicians as placeholders until the true believers can get a good little leftist lapdog elected into the seat. They definitely don’t consider Blue Dog Democrats as “centrist”.

But as is usual, reality is intruding upon the little Marxists

Centrists threaten Obama’s agenda

Half a dozen members of the Senate Democratic Conference pose the biggest threat to President Obama’s agenda, giving Senate Republicans a fighting chance to block the administration’s major expansions of government.

GOP leaders have begun reaching out to these centrists, hoping they will buck their party on Obama’s two biggest initiatives: healthcare reform and climate change legislation.

And they are doing exactly that. So, of course, the leftosphere is bringing out the adjectives to describe who “bought” these pols off: “Big” Pharma, “Big” Insurance, “Evil” Corporations, etc. to get the full-on foaming at the mouth of the sycophants.

So far, it seems to be working. So if you have a Blue Dod that can help keep the fight up, give them a call and some words of encouragement.
