Now you can see

Why even (Barely) Governor Christine Gregoire seems almost like a small improvement of former Governor Gary Locke.

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said something amazing—U.S. consumers should pay for part of Chinese greenhouse-gas emissions. From Reuters:

“It’s important that those who consume the products being made all around the world to the benefit of America — and it’s our own consumption activity that’s causing the emission of greenhouse gases, then quite frankly Americans need to pay for that,” Commerce Secretary Gary Locke told the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

Poor little Gary never did understand Capitalism.

Here we see that he has trouble figuring out that if China wants their emissions paid for, then they need to add those costs onto the price of the items they make and sell to us, so that they can cover whatever payments they’re going to have to make.

No, he is a big “International Trade” guy who would rather keep the Chinese happy and the price of their goods low and just have the US government hand over the a payment out of tax dollars.

Math is hard. Gary Locke is soft, like a puppy (my apologies to any of the canine species who are offended by that statement).

Our last two governors have shown nothing but that Washington politics aren’t REALLY Washington politics, but instead King County politics, and that the vast majority of voters in King County are either poorly educated on how the American Republic works, or are simply idiots, I haven’t decided which, but I’m actually leaning towards BOTH!
