In a bid to stop Muslim extremists from becoming more militant, the UK Government is set to issue a guideline for police, directing them not to charge them in many hate crime cases, a move that has created outrage amongst critics.
Guidelines will tell forces to press for conviction only in cases of clear-cut criminal acts, and refrain from proceeding when evidence of lawbreaking is “borderline.â€
Officers will be advised to turn a blind eye on crimes such as incitement to religious hatred or viewing extremist material on the Internet.
“For instance, where there has been incitement or someone has been on the internet there can be a grey area where there is some discretion and it would be more sensible to avoid going down the criminal route,†the Daily Express quoted a White Hall source, as saying.
Not charging them with a crime to try and stop them from committing said crime in the future?
Ow. Brain hurts.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m one who believes that so called “hate crime” laws are evil in legalese.
But if you are going to single out a particularly hate-filled group and tell them that they stand much less chance of being charged with breaking a particular law on the books than anyone else not in their hate-filled group would be charged with if they did the same thing does not fit the definition of “discouragement”.
In fact, logically, it would do the exact opposite.
Spending the past few decades implying to women that if they physically assault their spouse that they will more than likely not be going to jail hasn’t lessened the number of physical assaults men have had to endure without being able to defend themselves.

Cowardice, pure and simple. The Brit government is acting out of cowardice, apparently in complete ignorance of the known fact that Islam hates cowards even worse than they hate infidels.
