Here’s another one of my little revolvers in the fun .38 S&W cartridge (NOT .38 Special). These are built on the I frame, which is significantly smaller than the J frame that’s the tiniest in S&W’s current lineup. These I-frame jobbies make for an extremely handy and light revolver, even with a relatively long (6″) barrel as here:
I just love those sweeping lines! Yes, it’s been reblued. I don’t mind that one bit — I buy my guns to shoot, not to be safe queens. Also I can get them cheaper if I’m not picky about “original finish” and all that.
Oh yeah, the sights suck. Back then the idea seemed to be “make the sights tiny and you’ll be more precise.” Not!
What kind of load do you shoot in it?
Ten-X’s black-powder-substitute load — I don’t reload, so I’m stuck with this or other low-pressure loads for now.
I haven’t actually touched this one off yet; it’s currently sitting in my ‘smith’s waiting for a new cylinder stop.
