...in last night’s Republican “debate.” I say that in quotes because with this many candidates on stage, there was precious little debating. It was more a batch of single questions directed to single candidates. Seriously, though, most of the candidates just need to pack up and go home. It’s going to be a lot more productive to have actual debates between a few frontrunners. At least the moderators positioned Mitt, Fred and Rudy in the center.
I have to admit Rudy’s looking a lot better than he did earlier this year. He’s articulate and focused. Romney is starting to have some deer-in-the-headlights moments and has got to be frustrated about Fred vaulting over him in a lot of polls after Mitt spent all that money to crawl into 2nd place.
However, I think Fred knocked it out of the park (although I missed the first 17 minutes, and his first answer was apparently hesitant and a bit of a stumble). But for the rest of the time Fred was calm, collected, gave direct responses, gave conservative responses, and looked tall, thin and tanned. He literally towers over everyone else on stage.
Hey, he looked Presidential to me!
This is gonna turn into Fred-vs.-Rudy real damn fast now.
