John of Some Poor Schmuck has a few words for Nicholas Kristoff.
If you don’t know, Kristoff is an Op/Ed guy for the New York Times. On his trip to Cambodia, Kristoff ‘bought’ two girls ‘out’ of brothels, apparently thinking he was freeing them.
Having a spent rather decent amount of time in the region during his Army years, John has this to say to Mr. Kristoff,
Nicholas Kristoff is a fool. He went to Cambodia and bought two girls out of brothels and thought he was Professor ‘enry ‘iggens.
If Mr. Kristoff wants to start a tradition, he could go back every year and buy the same girl from the brothel. I’m sure it would make him feel better and she could use the money.
