What are you going to do about it?

All of this Birther nonsense is really beginning to grind on me. I can’t visit a leftosphere site anymore without having to scroll over two or three posts a day equating all non-Democrats to Birthers.

Hell, the leftists have even convinced themselves that Lou Dobbs is losing his show because he keeps talking about it. (Dobbs’ show was given the axe months ago, to make way for The View’s, Joy Behar. Won’t that be delightful?)

My only question for the folks who question this birth certificate is this:

What would you all do about it if it turned out to be true?

Impeach him? With 60 votes in the Senate and a near super majority in the House? Yeah, right.

And even if that did happen, look who you have on deck:

1st in line – Joe “Gaffe-tastic” Biden

2nd in line – Nancy “Granny Botox” Pelosi

3rd in line – Robert “Grand Kleagle” Byrd

4th in line – Hillary “Cankles of Thunder” Rodham-Clinton

From bad to worse to we might as well just nuke ourselves.

Go away, please. Stop making Tea Party attendees look ignorant (those are the only people the TV stations show footage of, if the stations show up at all). And stop jumping up in Town Halls demanding things of your elected congressional representatives that they couldn’t deliver if they wanted to.

Don’t go away mad. Just go away. Go hang with the Truthers and the “Bush stole Florida!” losers, for they are your intellectual kin. STFU on this topic, choose a real disagreement with the guy, and maybe between now and election day 2012 someone will listen to that argument and decide to not vote for the guy.

Have a nice day.

UPDATE: So I woke up because we’re having an unusual bit of heat here in the PacNW and was thinking…

Birthers are like The Underpants Gnomes. Instead of:

Part 1 – Collect Underpants

Part 2 – ?

Part 3 – Profit!

The birthers are:

Part 1 – Impeach Obama because he’s not a citizen

Part 2 – ?

Part 3 – Nationwide Happiness!

It’s like when the people who believed Bush was stupid and Cheney was evil trying were to impeach Bush. Why replace stupid with evil? Sure, I’m thinking it is the opposite for birthers, with Biden being the stupid one. But do you really want someone who contains that much concentrated stupid any closer to power than he already is?

You’re right, of course. What the “birthers” don’t see is that they are getting sucked into the Rahm Emanual “they are all haters” machine. They are the fuel for that machine, which if it gains sufficient speed, will grind on ALL of us.

Unlike the “truthers”, though, there IS cause for suspicion about Obama’s birth, mainly because of the redacted information on the nationality documents he has provided.

If the Congress changes hands next year, or the (D)onks at least lose their supermajority, which is likely, the issue COULD be visited by resolution.

As most of the cooler heads say, why doesn’t Obama just produce a full birth certificate and put an end to all the controversy?

That would be logical, but the Chicago Machine has NEVER operated from a position of logic, only power, conniving power.

Your “watch what you wish for” position probably also held true in Honduras, but they dumped THEIR tyrant anyway.

I don’t give the “birthers” any time or lip service but I think they do have a point.

I understand the practical aspects versus the “process”/theory aspects. But would you take the same stance if it was suspicion of rape, torture, and murder in his background? Where and how do you draw the line? If you let someone slide on a constitutional issue now how can you claim a “constitutional issue” the “next time” when it’s blatantly obvious?

Suspicion of any abhorrent activity does not a constitutional issue make. Convictions are all that counts.

Both Bush and Reagan was already being called a war criminals by members of the opposing party during their respective re-election bids.

Hell, the Dems almost nominated Ted “Splash” Kennedy in 1976 and we knew he was piloting the Buick on the night Ms. Kopechne died and I don’t remember a whole lot of outrage from the Ford camp or the RNC.

The Birthers are calling the Governor and Sec of State of Hawaii liars and frauds because they don’t want to believe the above linked document is real.

They are showing themselves to be completely unhinged who wouldn’t even be satisfied if an 8mm reel was produced of Baby Obama’s head breaching with a calendar and clock on the wall in the delivery room showing the proper time and date.

I draw the line at actual physical proof being made public of a candidate’s ineligibility. I personally believe that his two biographies disqualify him for the job. But I’m in the minority there, I think.

  5. Joe Huffman says:

The displayed “Certificate of Live Birth” is different than a “Birth Certificate”. That is what all the fuss is about. The “Certificate of Live Birth” does not show a doctor, hospital, or time of birth as a “Birth Certificate” would. Why not show the Birth Certificate if it exists?

This makes the suspicion very high.

I have not even the slightest clue as to why the State of Hawaii hasn’t posted a digital image of the actual BC.

However, having seen a real BC from that era, I can think of more than a couple reasons, from fragility of the original (they were carbons) to destruction of the original. However, my favorite is “a Birther ate it”.

But, if our gov’t will take a CLB to background check me so that I might be given my official “papers” so that I may now play their Security Theater International Edition, as well as the authentication from two of the highest ranging members of Hawaii’s government, both with R’s as their party affiliation, and now the SCOTUS all agree that a CLB is hunky dory to prove his existence on that date in that location, then I don’t see what their problem is other than they just really don’t like the guy.

That is one large net of conspiracy for them to be throwing.
