Stupidity should be painful

So should violations of Godwin’s Law.

The Hill’ blog posts this quote from Senate majority Leader Harry Reid’s noon press conference yesterday:

The Republicans have asked for more time, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable.

Oliver Willis (Occupation: Toole) responds:

Hitler just wants Austria. That’s all. He’s promised not to do any more than that.

Believe it or not, I don’t actually enjoy posting about this freak two days in a row, but this was just so guano that I couldn’t not post about it.

Oliver Toole is made of Ignorant.
Before Austria’s semi-willing capitulation there was the military re-occuparion of the Rheinland (1936) – then came the Anschluss.
Afterwards came the Sudetenland (central Czechoslovakia), approved by Neville Chamberpussy, and then the rest of the Lebensraum: Bohemia and Moravia. Finally came Poland (approved by Joe Stalin who got the other half of Poland) – the last straw which initiated hostilities with Britain and France.

  2. Windy Wilson says:

Oliver has it backwards, too, like the media with the Honduran “Coup”.
It is Obama who “just wants this Medical care reform bill”, and the Republicans are in the position of Mr. Chamberlain, who looks at his resources and says, “I need more time.”

  3. Mollbot says:

One could wish for Republicans more like Mr. Churchill, crying “This is INSANE.”
