From the Department of “If one standard is good then two standards must be great!” we have WaPo Magazine contributing editor, Cathy Areu hating on a very large segment of the populace.
As a wise Latina, I can tell you, no, she’s not backing down. And she probably would want to say, “Not only do I mean a wise Latina, I meant any Latina could make a better decision than a white man could.”
Imagine if Rush, or Hannity or Beck or any other mid-to-high media profile right leaning white guy you could mention had said the opposite of that that, the news cycle would be hellish and her little magazine and its parent paper would be wall to wall denunciations of said individual.
Somebody would do well to ask her boss to maybe have her clarify that statement.
That must be why Latin America is such a paradise on earth.
