So this last weekend while scanning the online retailers for anything I may have missed in my Christmas purchases, I ordered every Tolkien/Hobbit/LotR book, map, history, etc. that I could find.
Not cheap, but I think very worthwhile.
Other than watch the movies, I haven’t done anything Tolkien since my sophomore year in high school. Since then, a whole slew of “history” has come out and a new book of maps (I am a Map Geek, so it is natural for me to purchase such things).
Also, being the leader of the pack that I am, these purchases preceded the announcement of Peter Jackson’s agreement to Executive Produce not one, but two Hobbit films yesterday.
I guess he was just watching the orders coming across the wire and decided that if I was in it, he was too.
