Hey

Did anyone around here besides myself watch the first episode of the SciFi Channel’s “TinMan” last night?

If so, what did you think of it? (my answer is below the fold, along with some pics, so please answer before reading)

My answer: Definite buy on DVD when it hits shelves (hopefully for Christmas).

The Wife even liked it, and she’s a hardcore “Judy Garland is the only Dorothy for me” fanatic.

There was just enough surreal in it to make it believable. Not too much to make it goofy.

Plus, I get to watch Neal McDonough play someone other than Buck Compton (Band of Brothers), and as an added bonus I get to see Zooey Deschannel (Trillian from the Hitchhikers movie) talk with her eyes. Also, the Wicked Witch, known in this version as the Sorceress Azkadellia, ain’t too tough on the eyes.

For those of you that missed it, they’re replaying Part 1 before Part 2 airs tonight. Check your local listings. I’m gonna have to DVR it for employment reasons.

I wanted to watch it, but ‘Da Stillers were playing last night.

It’s rpetty rare that we actually get to see ‘Da Stillers, so they won out.

I’ll try to catch them both tonight; children and schedule permitting.

Saw it, liked it. I like that it follows the story but has its own view of things. All I can say is thank god for DVRs because when your are soaked in gasoline with a tank on the ground, that is not the time to stop working to watch a show.

I have my DVR set for all three parts, caught the first part late last night. I find it an interesting interpretation.
The Deschanel sisters have some really good genes, don’t they?

I stumbled across the back half of it and then watched the first half that I missed with the encore presentation. I’m definitely going to watch the rest of it.
