7-30 Waters, to be exact. Click for bigger; this is really one handy little gun.
G2 Contender frame, 10″ barrel with SSK muzzle brake (eBay treasure from last year!), and the Burris 1.5-4x scope from my other 7-30 Waters, the late Uncle Bud’s 12″, which got a new scope:
Bud’s gun did so well at Boomershoot with the 4x scope that it seemed appropriate to trade up to a new Burris 3-12x Ballistic Plex.
I used the high see-thru scope mounts on the new 7-30 (left, click to embiggen) with the idea that I might someday go hunting with it and need to draw a bead on a pig at ranges where I might not have time to dial it down from 4x to 1.5, LOL.
Now I have to sight these babies in. And yes, I still use the factory load exclusively. It’s worked great so far!
