The Ragin’ Mrs. and I stayed at the Red River Hot Springs for two nights during our Honeymoon. It was rustic, but it was a blast and the people up there were good folks. BYOB. And it’s a sulfur hot spring. It doesn’t smell, but it’ll tarnish any metal you have on you that’s prone to tarnishing.
My daughter and her boyfriend cruised up from Santa Barbara to his family reunion at Spirit Lake, Idaho not long ago, and I thought it was cool that they planned their route so that they could hit as many hot springs as possible.
Spirit Lake…. they probably passed through my hometown of Coeur d’ Alene.
