I can’t call them “lefty rifles,” that’d be a contradiction in terms….
From top / from left:
Weatherby Mark V .257 Weatherby Magnum
Weatherby Mark V .300 Weatherby Magnum
Sako 591 .308 Winchester
Savage 93R17-GLV .17 HMR
Savage Mark II-GL .22 LR
The first three rifles wear Burris Signature scopes; the Savages have the Barska 6.5-20×50, which is a fantastic value at Sportsmans Guide. I was really pleased with this scope at this year’s Boomershoot.
I haven’t shot the Savages yet (at left). They’re also a great value after Savage finally added the Accutrigger (right) to their left-handed rimfires this summer. Hopefully I’ll have a range report this weekend….
I’m not familiar with the Barska scopes, but from what you say they sound worthy of further examination.
I’m always suspicious of “bargain priced” scopes from an unknown maker, but have seen these advertised in MidwayUSA. Normally they don’t handle junk, so I was confused about their quality.
Thanks for posting your opinion.

They’re definitely not of the same quality as my Burris Signatures. However, they seem to be of better quality than you’d expect from the price tag. And one of ’em held up just fine through three days of Boomershoot 2007 riding a .223 Weatherby pistol. If it was going to go kaput or lose the zero because of recoil damage, I’d expect that test to do the job. It passed with flying colors.
