An odd way to say goodbye

In what will hopefully be the last word we’ll hear on the suicide of eco-terrorist, Bill Rogers, who killed himself after being arrested for setting fire to private property and then the FBI finding child pornography at his home during the search following his arrest, we have what is reported to be his suicide not, posted on the Portland IndyMedia site.

To my friends and supporters to help them make sense of all these events that have happened so quickly:

Certain human cultures have been waging war against the Earth for milennia. I choose to fight on the side of bears, mountain lions, skunks, bats, saguaros, cliff rose and all things wild. But tonight I have made a jail break – I am returning home, to the earth, to the place of my origins.

Bill

Toodles, Bill.

BTW Bill, the bears, mountain lions, skunks, bats, saguaros and cliff roses didnt’ bother to take notice. But hey, at least you’re happy, right?

I’m not to sad to see that piece of trash go. I got to help rebuild Two Elk here in Vail after him and his elf friends torched the place. I hope the place he goes is hotter than the fires he set.

Indymedia made it up. Note the use of past tense. No one, not even an “eco-hero” like Rogers, can write a suicide note after having committed suicide.

But, at IndyMedia, “all the news that we see fit to give you”, making shit up is par for the course.

In a related post, you linked to this tripe. I read it and commented, disagreeing with them, but being polite and concise.

My comment was removed within 24 hours of its posting. I suppose they only allow weepy, emotional (“This breaks my heart. He wanted to die free rather than a life in a cage.”)or wacko conspiracy (“I think it’s pretty obvious to say that he was murdered. The “war on terrorism” is expanding, people…” based commentary.

This hasn’t been deleated yet over at Rimfirejones’ link to indymedia.

    Ha!

Here’s a little better snapshot of what Brass is talking about. You have to wonder how long this comment will last over there.
