Ammo Day Followup from Rivrdog

Well, the comments seem to be fried for some reason.

Rivrdog notes that:

…Bi-Mart, a regional discount chain, is currently having a very good handgun ammo sale, with 9mm 115FMJ at $5.99/box, .38 130FMJ at $6.99 and .45ACP 230FMJ, .40 S&W 165 & 180 FMJ at $7.99, and everything else not listed at $2.00/box off their usual low prices.

The sale is listed in their mailed-out coupon book, and is good until 13 November. If you’re not on their mailing list, you can pick up a coupon book when you get into the store. It’s a membership store, but life membership is $5.00, good for the whole family.

Buy it cheap, and stack it deep, as AnalogKid says. I like to keep at least 1,000 rds per handgun caliber, mainly because I have 3 different handgun/pistol-caliber carbine combos. This FMJ ammo isn’t the hottest, or with the most expanding bullets, but it is cheap, and FMJ goes thru car bodies best, anyway. In urban warfare, that’s a must-have capability for your ammo.

Thanks, Rivrdog! Down here in California, the best we get is the occasional sale from Big 5, but I think their lowest is around $9.99 per box of 9mm UMC FMJ, and that’s on sale! (Plus the county sales tax, which is around 8% in my neck of the woods, grr.)

No Bi-Marts in Cali, unfortunately. I grew up in Oregon; It’d be very kewl if Bi-Mart still lists me as a member…?
