Yin & Yang

As positive as the reaction was on the right to Sarah Palin’s WaPo editorial on the Democrat’s Cap & Tax plan, it was despised by the left.

More than a few are wondering who wrote it. They claim she couldn’t have done so because it was “relatively grammatically coherent”.

They disliked that she never mentioned anything about “climate change” and they feel she mistreated their numbers on the topic of “millions of “Green Jobs” the plan would supposedly create.

They were so frightened by a sensible voice speaking on the subject that Media Matters created a “Fact Check” sheet specifically for said editorial.

But if one who does not buy into the fearmongering of the Glowball Warmening Death Cult’s tactics give the sheet’s talking point even the slightest parousal, that person will notice one thing: The hyper-leftist think tank Center for American Progress is nearly their only source for any figures related to the Cap & Tax bill.

Last I heard, CAP is not a group of climatologists. They’re a lobbying/pressure group funding by George Soros.

I thought lobbying groups were bad for cliamte science?

On a side note, the left’s favorite city in Texas, Austin, is a sort of beta test which proves that the Cap & Tax plan won’t work

For the past decade, Austin’s ambition to become the world’s clean-energy capital has been best exemplified by one effort: GreenChoice, a program that sells electricity generated entirely from renewable sources such as wind.

Now the nationally renowned program is struggling to find buyers — the latest allotment is 99 percent unsold after seven months on the market — and Austin Energy is looking for ways to bring down the rising costs.

…..

Duncan said part of the solution might just be adding new wind, solar and other renewable-energy projects into the bills of all Austin Energy customers, which could increase rates for everyone. He said there are also numerous other policies being considered but declined to discuss them, saying only that they will be proposed publicly in the near future.

Whatever new policies Austin Energy brings forward, it will need them quickly.

If the latest GreenChoice offerings do not sell, their cost will eventually show up in the bills of all Austin Energy customers anyway, officials say. And the Austin City Council, which oversees Austin Energy, has resisted such measures.

People won’t buy their renewable energy becauase it costs more, so they’re just going to force the residents of Austin to pay for it anyway.

Imagine this on a national scale.

Except that you don’t get the choice as to whether or not you buy renewables.

How much more stupid can Congress spill on themselves?
