So here I was, all prepared to throw down with some Paul-cultists, but none arrived. At first I thought that I had just chased all the true-believers away before hand, or that they just didn’t want to “waste” their time with a blog so far on the edge of the sphere.
But then I started my rounds and discovered that the Good Ship Paul was taking major damage yesterday.
Like I said in my LotR post, I am a trendsetter.
Apparently, Ron Paul said that taking money from White Supremacists is a noble act because it disables their abilty to use that money for “other purposes”.
Whatev.
And then Bill White, being the idiot that they’ve a prerequisite to join the Supremacist movement, goes onto their numero uno message board and instructs the Seek Helpers to not listen to what Ron Paul says to the MSM, he really does believe in their worldview. I don’t know who Paul employs to do his PR, but that guy probably still hasn’t slept yet. And I’m sure that since the rightosphere was abuzz with those and other stories will both keep the Paulites keyboards warm with the clickety-clackety of typing hands and that by the time they make it to RNS, that post will be on page two.

PLEASE, do some research into Bill White and you will see that you have been taken in by a HOAX! The man has also claimed that the COLUMBINE shooters were part of his White Power “Cell” and he regularly enjoys showing up a moderate conservative’s speeches in nazi rags to embarrase them for “not being racist enough”. I’m guessing that you are of the mistaken belief that 1.) i support Ron Paul 2.) that anyone who does/would/has supported Ron Paul is some kind of Borg member or part of some kind of Hive mind and 3.)The burden of proof is on your readers to provide evidence to counter your arguement or assumptions before you yourself(the blogger/journalist) even attempts to do the same.
A proven liar and grandstander who labels himself as a “commander”(of what exactly) for a White Power group makes accustations on a White Power forum without any evidence to support his accusations and you (the blogger/journalist) put the burden on the supporters of the man being liabled instead of on the one doing the accusing. in fact you seem to have no intention of questioning the source of you story at all.

If Ron Paul was the man of principle he claims to be, he would take extreme pains to disassociate himself both financially and philosophically from the racist skinheads.
He hasn’t, to my knowledge.
The Ron Paul Phenomenon (as I’m sure history will note his candidacy as) is a product of information-hyping and digital maneuvering, not, as he would have you believe, with real grass-roots support growing by the minute.
When a significant number of the “flood” of contributions turn out to have been generated off of identity thieves’ credit card rosters, and when data mining robots are used to search the ‘net and flag every mention of his name, then insert the talking point du jour into blog-threads regardless of their focus, what you have is an engineered candidate.
Perhaps someone will write the history of this candidacy. When they do, I’ll wager that the title of the book is “The Ron Paul Illusion”.
