I Do

So very much love the state of denial that the leftosphere is currently in with respect to the NIE that came out yesterday.

They love to tout the “Iran stopped assembling their bomb in 2003” and then neglect to mention WHEN in 2003 they stopped (hint, hint: March/April).

They also seem to have moved the goalposts a very great distance from “Iran isn’t building a nuke” to the current “Iran isn’t building one anymore”.

Kevin Drum, whom I’ve singled out in the past because of his decision to wait until the rapidly approaching train of SSI gets right up on us to do anything about keeping it supplied with funding and for his love for the Global Warming Death Cult, was actually the sanest and fairest of the bunch in the leftosphere with his willingness to link to an even saner leftoid at The Headline Junky who wrote the following

It’s important not to overlook, though, the fact that Iran’s entire nuclear program is the result of a decades-long clandestine procurement effort that was in direct violation of their legal obligations under the NPT, that at no time since the program was revealed has Iran ever been in full compliance with its obligations under the NPT, and that they have repeatedly backtracked on promised concessions both to the IAEA and EU. It’s also worth noting that while Iran has recently been more transparent with regards to its declared nuclear activity, the one area where they still have been obstructive is in giving the IAEA more intrusive access to its program sites in order to verify that no un-declared activity is taking place.

The fella then follows up with how saber-rattling the Bush Administration has been, but if he were to look at what made Iran stash their nuke program under the sink, as it were, then he would see that bellicosity works well with Iran.

But most certainly DO NOT tell any of this to Kevin’s readers. You want to see a shitstorm of stupidity and all out hatred, click this link and read the comments. You know what, I had a President come on TV and lie to my face after he signed legislation that made way for the putting of excellent condition M14’s and M21’s to the torch and bandsaw, and I did not hate the man as much as the deranged individuals in Drum’s comments section hate Bush.

We’re going to have to talk about that. Next Monday. Start thinking on it because I’ve got questions for you all.

The NEI is a pack of lies … a rabid Clintonista was in charge of doing it this year.

Bush’s greatest failure was in not removing all of Reno and Albright’s appointees in January of 2001.

Amen Kristopher. All NIE reports are worthless. The Israelis, who have a functioning intel service, will let us know that the Iranians did infact have a nuclear program. It will be announced by the sudden appearance of numerous smoking holes in the ground all over Iran.
