Its about time

I went through one of these myself recently at work

A diversity training video has drawn a complaint from a Denver city employee who claims its unfavorable portrayal of whites amounts to “institutional racism.” A city official said Tuesday it was suspending use of the video.

The video titled, “Laughing Matters — Think About It,” features a white, blue-collar worker named Billy who’s portrayed as racist, sexist, and clueless while illustrating inappropriate humor.

“Diversity, to me, doesn’t mean hammer the white guy,” said Dennis Supple, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning mechanic who said he’s considering filing a lawsuit. “Diversity means you have respect for everyone, regardless of their race, their gender, their religion, their sexual orientation.”

Mine didn’t just feature white guys being the dummy, my company is smarter than that.

However, seeing as how it was “Mandatory” that I attend, I made sure to make the point, rather publicly and with much agreement from my fellow attendees, that I was having a hard time figuring out whether my employer thought I was corrupt or just too stupid to recognize corruption.
The HR drones holding the meeting was not able to tell me, so I stated that I assume it must be both, and thanked them for the hour of pay.

Had the same “training” in King Co Gov., same evil white guy did all the bad stuff in the hour long vid. When I complained I was told I couldn’t tell if it was a white guy, “could have been hispanic”. Apparently they got so many complaints they had a hissy and threw the vid out stating another with “diversity” of villians would be produced. Only in Seattle!!!!
