Last week, Hillarity Clinton spoke about about her idea to “give” every child born in the US a $5000 Savings Bond out of taxpayer monies. I wanted to post about it, but was just so dumbfounded (and busy) that I never found the time. Every opportunity that came about for me to put fingers to keyboard, I’d run the idea through my head and just get vaporlocked at the sheer stupidity of it.
Thankfully, a majority of the American citizenry in this Rasmussen poll were able to see through the schlock of Clinton’s pandering and have rejected the proposal.
Sixty percent (60%) of America’s Likely Voters oppose giving every child born in the United States a $5,000 savings bond, or “baby bond.†A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 27% support the concept suggested on Friday by Senator Hillary Clinton.
Those 60% know exactly where these “Baby Bonds” are going to come from: Their wallets.
