Tis a pity she’s a whore

It is also a pity I cannot consider anyone in my household a consumer of Disney Co. products, for I cannot effectively boycott them.

Walt Disney World believes it is exempt from a new state law that allows Florida residents to keep firearms in their vehicles while at work, according to an internal memo obtained by a newspaper.

Under the bill, which took effect Tuesday, businesses cannot prohibit employees or customers from keeping a legally owned gun locked inside their cars, as long as the owner has a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

However, the bill states that property owned or leased by an employer who has a permit required by federal law to manufacture, use, store or move explosives would still be off limits. Disney has a permit for its fireworks shows.

The loophole was lobbied for by a group of lawyers that represented groups and businesses that included Disney, The Orlando Sentinel reports.

Shannon McAleavey, Disney World Vice President of Public Affairs, said in the memo that, with some exceptions, “this law does not apply to Walt Disney World Co. owned and leased properties.”

The Sentinel obtained the memo. A Disney spokesman confirmed it circulated last week.

Disney spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez told The Associated Press that the company maintains a zero-tolerance policy, and said “anyone bringing a gun on property can expect to be subject to discipline.”

A Disney Co. employee has already tested their ban and has suffered the consequences.

Just like the book by John Ford, this Disney Co. idea is a tragedy.

Disney has to be the most two-faced corporation on Earth. Their corporate policy is to project wholesomeness, family values, non-politicized entertainment, etc, but then the reality of what they do tosses all those good ideas in the dumpster (tastefully hidden from view).

They claim to support the values of their community, but do you recall a few years ago when they hosted a convention in Disneyland of the most flaming gay activists on the planet, completely failing to impose any standards on them, all the while the turnstiles were letting in Joe and Jill Sixpack with their wide-eyed kids, who got an eyeful of anal intercourse and fellatio in the shrubbery and bathrooms? Complaints to the management did nothing to resolve the behavior issues, and in fact, Disney refused to even try to reach out to the convention to get them to put their members on notice that what goes on with community approval in North Beach, SFO or Key West, FL isn’t appropriate at a theme park in Anaheim.

So now we have Disney corporate thugs defying a law purposely crafted to end their tyrannical position on personal defensive firearms in vehicles, defying an entire State and it’s law enforcement apparatus.

My solution: March in a platoon of Florida State Police early in the am and seal the gates, while going on television on all the traffic reporting channels and announcing that Disneyworld is closed, by order of the State, until their policy of depriving employees of the Constitutional rights under the State Constitution is remedied by an agreement of the corporation.

The loss to his pocketbook, with no gate receipts for a few days, should convince the Chairman of the Board of Disney, Inc that following the laws as they apply to the corporation is a good idea, and that sometimes the Disney lawyers just have to be told NO!
