I’m not sure this will be coherent

But I’m so damn pissed off that I’m not sure it matters much.

It looks as though Washington DC is playing President Andrew Jackson and stuffing Scalia and Roberts into the role of Chief Justice John Marshall.

There is nothing that I can see that the SCOTUS can do to actually make the District comply, save inspiring the populace to rise up, storm town hall and hang 13 new decorations from the lamp posts along the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

While that is my preferred choice of action, I’ll consider myself lucky to see a recall committee spring up.

Countertop has an interesting angle on this situation, believing that the proposed rules violate the ADA laws as well as the Districts own discrimination laws.

He is actively searching for a client.

Having spent a few years working to help folks “comply” with the ADA rules, I think he has a bead on one of the weak points in their plan to make owning a firearm for self-defense as difficult as humanly possible.

There is also House Res. 1331, which is very promising. Though I do not see any criminal penalties for the Council members in there. It will do well enough, I suppose though.

But this blatant act of defiance calls for punishment. Imagine if Heller had gone the other way and the confiscations had begun. The District would have stood on the SCOTUS high ground and enforced the ruling at the point of a gun.

But because they are sore losers, they are demanding the daily sacrifice of their citizenry before they capitulate.

    There is a remedy.

    Contempt of court.

Jail the DC council until they get a clue. Allow them to hold their council meeting in the prison break room.
