And while I wish I was there, I can substitute it with a half day at Cabelas with our good man, Rivrdog.

OK, so that really isnt’ comparable, but give me a break. Ihad to use my vacation to go to Boomershoot and the Rendezvous. Kentucky (and definitely NOT Tennessee) is really just too damn far. I vote for Spokane or Missoula to host next time around.

  1. *ahem*

Also, we’re in Kentucky, not Tennessee. 🙂

  2. Phil says:

Duly Noted. But really, aren’t you all the same, just clinging to your guns and religion?

Oh wait. I don’t vote Democrat. So of course you’re not.

  3. Bitter says:

Sorry, you’ll always be disappointed with the location. They have to find places that can actually hold 70,000 people. 🙂

  4. Phil says:

Well then, that’s par for the course then, isn’t it?

I’m disappointed in myself for not being able to go, disappointed in the NRA for letting McCain through the door with his “Private sales between non-family members should be done with” BS, and disappointed that Spokane, with Cour d’Alene, ID right across the border, being nearly the same size as Louisville when combined, didn’t design themselves to be able to hold that size of a convention.

About the only person I’m not disappointed in is Mike Huckabee. After all, with his idiocy on Friday, I’m not going to have to worry about him being chosen for VP.

  5. Fred says:

I wore my Charlton Heston is my President t shirt on Saturday and my informal poll based on the number of comments it drew concludes Mr. Heston could be elected the next president of the USA. Not one good word about any of the three contenders.
