I meant to post this yesterday

Day late and all that…

I’d been hearing Glenn Beck talk to and about Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal all last week in the run-up to Beck’s speech at the NRA Convention.

Beck spent multiple hours, both on his radio and his CNN Headline News channel show talking about the bill Jindal authored in the House before he became Governor that prohibited, on a national level, the confiscation of private firearms from law-abiding citizens during a natural disaster.

HR 5013: To prohibit the confiscation of a firearm during an emergency or major disaster if the possession of such firearm is not prohibited under Federal or State law.

It passed, 322 to 99, with 98 of the Nays being from people with the letter D after their name.

Its fellow in the Senate, S. 2599, also passed well, thanks to Louisiana Senator David Vitter, 84 to 16, with every Nay vote coming from a Democrat.

In his post from yesterday, Uncle opened a post with

First of all, Bobby Jindal for president.

And I have to concur that in four to eight years, after the successful turning around of the State of Louisiana, I would happily support Bobby Jindal for the Executive position. Right now, however, Louisiana needs him rather badly.
Show these links to any gun owning Lib you know. Remind them that reckless military withdrawals, needless capitulation to terrorist sponsoring nation-states, socialized medicine, taxing the rich, and their Global Warming Death Cult can all wait until we fully re-secure the rights we have had stolen from us over the last 80 years.

Some things are more important.
