Sadly I have not sen one of them in years. They used to be offered around these parts commonly. You would give a doantion to the VFW (or whomever it was collecting the donations) and they would give you a Buddy Poppy. For the life of me I cannot imagine why they are not around anymore, especially with the number of veterans and military familes around here. Of course, maybe they are still around, but I sure have not seen any lately, and by lately I mean for at least a few years.
