A Couple of Points

I never saw expressed last week when folks were writing about the woman who had an abortion so that she would not “increase her carbon footprint”.

Just to get it off the table: I don’t care about the abortion itself. Not a whit. She could have twenty of them a week and I wouldn’t give two squirts about it. Fewer kids means more space for me and quieter public places. My attitude extends about this far

Silence is Golden. Duct Tape is Silver.

Besides, most people of child bearing age today wouldn’t have an idea what to do with a child if one of the things fell out from between their legs. Yes ladies, I meant that as a joke. And for the guys: How great for you, your pecker works.

OK, now, I noticed that only one person on the left wrote about this story, and that was Blue Texan (whose only reason for existence seems to be to lamely mock PJM and InstaReynolds) and he only wrote one line of original thought on the matter.

Why is it that none of the folks on the left will call women like the one in the story idiots? They know the Pro-Lifers get worked into a tizzy over these stories and that it gives them reason to proselytize and make converts out of fence sitters. Yet not a single one of them, male or female, says that this is a stupid idea. Hell, they can’t even get off their asses to point out that this will lead to fewer left-wing voters and leave the world to those who don’t follow their ideology.

The general public, myself included, are only left to believe that it is, like the Muslims who will not renounce those believers in the Prophet Muhammad who scream for the murder of innocents, that they approve of it. If they can’t see why that is “A Bad Thing” then they deserve what bad exposure they get.

On that same line of thought, while they stand by and stare blankly at this woman, I get called a fascist or a racist or a classist or a sexist or a bastard (or most likely a combination of those) when I suggest that women who cannot afford to have kids shouldn’t, either through abortion or via birth control (another topic that sets off the Lifers) or whatever.

So they are, in effect, stating that it is OK to suggest killing a child/fetus/zygote to stop Global Warming, but to do so in order to stop the birth of another state dependent welfare recipient is an abomination.

And then they wonder why they are called a Death Cult.

    My take:

I abhor abortion, plain and simple, but that is how I feel about it. My feelings and beliefs give me no right to say whether or not one should be allowed to have an abortion; that is between them and their maker, so to speak. My problem is with those that would get government involved in the whole thing. I DO NOT believe ANYONE should be forced to pay for or abet such a thing via the government.

That being said, an idiot is an idiot, and the Ms. in question certainly qualifies as one. I actually got more of a chuckle out of the story than anything else.

I share your sentiments on the MEDICAL issue of abortion. Discussion of it as a religious topic belongs in a church, and I tell my friends if they want to bombard me with their anti-abortion views, first they have to turn their collars around and prove that they’re actually religious, then they have to get me into church. With NFL football and reloading competing with Sunday services, they’ve got a long row to hoe to get me there.

That said, what the woman did is simply give another inane Gaia reason for her actions. All this Gaia crap is just so much religion. Insert above paragraph here.

However, some are taking it seriously. Such as enough Australians to have just retired the government of Aussie PM John Howard.

BTW, I see dark times ahead and am writing about them in my book. There is a general leftward march at the polls everywhere in Western Civ, which only accelerates the day when we will have to fight another Crusade against the moo-slimes. It also accelerates the day when we will begin collectively cutting all our economic throats in the West, just to please Gaia.

If people of her ideological bent choose not to reproduce, well that’s fine by me.

If that idiot c*nt and her sperm donor had one speck of decency in their putrid lives, the only possible honorable thing for them to do to “lessen their carbon assprints” is to perform suicide. Anything less is pure, unadulterated hypocrisy.
