For Sale

Friend and co-worker, Paul, happened upon this FAL lower via his brother.

The Good News: It’s all there and even has a decent trigger.

The Bad News: It’s an Inch lower, not a metric.

If you know of anyone who’d be interested, have them contact me via email (see the second from the top link on the sidebar) and I’ll put them in touch with Paul.

Saw a fine Metric one, complete with the off-angle scope, during my NRA RSO class this weekend. We each got to take one “unusual” weapon to the familiarity section of the class. The FAL was primo, but I also wowed the older folks with the M14, and my desk-partner, a German-American, had one of those gee-whiz FN 2000 bullpup .223 carbines. That front ejection is slick!. The short weapon (with better than 17″ barrel, though) will damn near conceal under a standard hip-length rain parka, hanging by the single-point sling.

From my experience with FALs, the lower really doesn’t matter all that much unless you are a purest. I’ve seen inch kits built on a “metric” upper(I actually have one) and the only dif is that you use metric mags. Likewise I have an inch build on an inch upper(inch uppers are usually a lot more expensive then metric) and it uses inch mags – which are more expensive then their metric counterparts.
