This truck is based on a Ford F-550 chassis, armored all over, with a spare generator so you don’t have to idle the engine to run a/c, and reportedly battle-tested, having withstood an IED recently without loss of life or major damage.
Oh, yeah, it costs $200,000. Cheaper than a Stryker, I think, but still out of my budget.
Word is that this was originally called “The Warthog,” but local Muslims took offense, so ’twas renamed “The Rock.” Looks like a warthog to me….
