The ‘Hate America’ crowd has a party

Today marks the last day of a three day event held by Amnesty International in London, where they gathered together a large number of supposed former prisoners from Gitmo who claimed to have been ‘tortured’ there.

In some cases, the ‘tortured’ former captive couldn’t attend and so AI brought in their families to help with the exaggerations. Maybe if the former prisoners weren’t out fighting US troops again, they could have shown up. But hey, I wouldn’t want to be hanging out in London with a bunch of socialist stiffs either, so I understand.

From AI’s press release,

Amnesty International and Reprieve today called on the US government to stop blocking meaningful United Nations access to its Guantanamo detention centre and agree to access to all prisoners. The organisations (sic) were responding to the passing of a midnight deadline for the US government to agree to terms for a visit to Guantanamo by five independent experts of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.

AI, the UN and the group Reprieve! It’s a trifecta of prevarication!

Quick note: You (sic) the word “organisation”. That isn’t a misspelling, it is the proper British spelling.

(That caught me just the other day with the word “licence”….)
