WOULD you LIKE to PLAY a GAME?

One of the points I used in my price negotiations when purchasing Buddy was that the license tabs were up in November.

I am now going to turn this to my advantage, with your help (hopefully).

This is the perfect time frame, between now and Nov. 1st, for me to select and order personalized plates for Buddy.

In WA we get seven letters or numbers and it cannot be offensive (URADICK) or resemble a standard plate (123-ABC)

I have had a couple of ideas, but nothing that really knocks me out:

From Steve Ronin’s comment on Buddy’s intro post: NOTAFED

Since I will still be driving on pavement most of the time: UAV (Urban Assault Vehicle)

Please feel free to leave your ideas in the comments. You can go here and see if the state thinks they’re doable.

Normally I’m happy that Washington has right-leaning areas, but in this instance, the fact that INFIDEL and 762X51 are both taken is killing me.

I don’t know if Washington offers them, but I love the “Children First” plates some states have, with CTHULU as the tag.

Virginia’s is already taken, dang it.

    How about some gun-model designations:

    PTR-91

    H K-91

    G3

CETME (no one but a surplus-rifle gunny will get that, everyone else will think it’s some sort of me-generation saying).

    4X44EVA

    GRNGLOW (see below)

GUNBLOG (and have a custom plate frame made with your URL)

    GUNJEEP

    2AJEEPR

Pick one. If I win, you get to drive me to your sooper-secrit foothills range to blast some punkins.

    762X54R

    762×63 (aka, .30-06)

    NOTAFED… I’d be honored.
Nice thing about VA, we’ve got NRA plates.

There is a lot to be said for driving a clean, uncluttered, non-memorable, and non-bumperstickered vehicle.

Joe Whitebread tends to get ignored by the police. People with special vehicles get special attention.

  10. Christopher says:

I would have to agree with Kristopher about having a plane jane one. Most people cannot correctly identify a make and model or remember a standard license plate. But put a custom one and it will always be remembered. I would have to draw you out to the post you made about the Canuk and the money. The nail that sticks out get the hammer.

But my favorite one that I have ever seen was on a BMW 745 and it was QTR TO 8

Surprisingly, “2A” (2nd Amendment) shows as available.

  17. Ted says:

I hadn’t thought about the plate standing out. Here in Virginia, custom plates are cheap and everywhere. I believe we lead the country in them, and there are something like 50+ custom designs to choose from, besides your own lettering.

    How about
    NOSRNDR (no surrender)
    PTSF308

  19. gudis says:

762×51 may be taken, but what about 308 WIN?
