And here I am, under Doctor’s Orders to avoid spending long periods of time outside.
I was able to work this whole week after my bout with pneumonia last week, though Monday and Tuesday were nearly unbearable. I had significant improvement on Wednesday and am almost normal now this morning, with just a moderate cough residing in me.
I went to the physician this morning hoping that she could tell that I had gotten better so that I could be cleared to go to the range this weekend. No such luck. “Try back in two weeks� was her answer. I need warm, moist air to finish recovering and all the outdoors can offer me is cold, dry air that’ll send me back into the hell of drowning in my own lungs.
That’ll make it a month without a range trip! I might as well just throw my ammo down the sewer drain since I’ll probably need a couple dozen trigger pulls to get back up to speed when I do finally get back to the range.
Today I’ll be going to a pre-Christmas family get-together that the Analog Mom is hosting this afternoon and then I have nothing to do for the rest of the weekend except help the wife decorate the house.
But only the inside! Doctor’s Orders say that I can’t hang lights off the eaves for at least another two weeks!
