I heard this song on one of the burgeoning hip hop stations during my senior year in high school. It got played, like, twice and went away (probably because it isn’t the least bit hip hop) but I still bought the cassette and played it until it wore out.

Then I bought the CD.

Which I still have, BTW. The thing is in the original digital disc format, which is so ancient (in digital music standards) that the vast majority of today’s CD players can’t read it, though it is virtually scratch free (a little adhesive plastic film goes a long way).

Anyway, you’ll never recognize their faces, but you’ll never forget their name. With 1000 sampled guitars, octophonic 808’s, a strobe and a yell, I give you

Muslims Demand Permanent Seat on UN Security Council

In the face of the intensification of Islamophobia in the West, I have seen it as a duty to launch a campaign against this detestable phenomenon, and We have approached the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva in this connection. We succeeded to have the Committee adopt a resolution prohibiting defamation of religions, in particular Islam, as well as linking it with terrorism. We also took the campaign to the United Nations General Assembly asking it to make efforts in this regard. In the same vein, we went to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and managed to convince it to place the matter in its agenda and admitted that defamation of Islam has become a fundamental challenge in the field of human rights in Europe.

Since the enlargement of the Security Council has become a pressing issue in the agenda of the United Nations, we have made extensive efforts in concert with the Islamic Group at the United Nations in New York to ensure a permanent representation for the Muslim world in the Security Council. For the Muslim world, that is one fifth of the world’s population, cannot remain excluded from the activities of the Security Council which assumes a fundamental role in keeping security and peace in the world.

Mwahahahahaha!

Yeah, sure guys. You just need to take care of a few things first:

Every single country in your ‘Council’ to must stop the disfigurement and murder of females

Every single country in your ‘Council’ must lose their insatiable hatred of Judeo/Christians.

If you didn’t want the answer

You shouldn’t have asked.

First, the hate-Bush left wing was demanding to know who leaked Valerie Plame’s name to the press in what they saw as retribution for Joseph Wilson’s words against the Bush Administration.

But now that they are one step away from the source of the leak, they don’t want them thrown in jail for refusing to give up the name.

Why, because the sources are NY Times reporter, Judith Miller, and Time Magazine reporter, Matthew Cooper.

With the SCOTUS refusing to hear their case, the two reporters will surely face jail time.

Does anyone here doubt that if the person who was facing jail time was a friend of the Bush White House or, especially, an employee of said Administration, folks like Farhad Manjoo of Salon would have totally forgotten the phrase “1st Amendment protection” ?

Double Standards

Ravenwood reports that the same politicos that demand background checks on firearms purchasers are not so hot on the idea of setting up a database to help with the background checks on illegal aliens.

But in my latest Shotgun News, columnist Clayton Cramer writes about recent 5-3 SCOTUS decision ‘Small vs US’ that basically stated ‘Any person known to have been convicted of a felony outside of the US can still purchase firearms in the US’.

What makes the ruling all the more strange is that most the Justices who found in favor of giving firearms to foreign felons would most likely be the first to rule against you and I on the 2nd Amendment; Breyer, Stevens, Souter, Ginsburg and O’Connor / Scalia, Thomas and Kennedy (Rehnquist was ill and sat this one out).

So I guess it doesn’t matter if we even had a database of aliens, legal or illegal, they would all be allowed to buy guns, but a tax evading US citizen would not.

And if you want some actually logical firearms issues reading, go read john Lott Jr. about “The Big Lie of the Assault Weapons Ban� that I found at The View From North Central Idaho.

Think before you flush – mayor’s latest message to Londoners

Mr Livingstone said a third of London’s water was flushed down the toilet. “We are asking people to consider – and obviously it is a matter of personal choice – that if all you have done is take a pee, you don’t need to flush the toilet every time.

Heya pal, guess what. When I make it to London, I’m going to take a leak at every government building I can find and FLUSH TWICE!.

Do you think that ‘ol Red might be hanging around with these folks a bit too much? (Caution: Contains buzzwords such as Eden and the United Nations)

Also, I can’t seem to remember which politician said “If it’s yellow, let it mellow. If it’s brown, flush it down�. I want to say Jerry Brown, but I’m not sure.

Looks like somebody had fun this weekend

I’ll be hitting the range this upcoming weekend, but I found two sets of individuals who wasted not, when it came to rangetime.

First up, we have Mr. Completely and his Better Half, trust me on this (snicker), KeeWee, taking the full monty of the Pin Shooting Match this weekend.

He took first and third (with two different pistols) and she took second in the optical sight class.

I’ve got to get back up there and get these two under control.

Next up, we have a gentleman calling himself Jerry the Geek, doing IPSC competition in Oregon. He didn’t list how well he did, but that is okay with me because he posted pics of “The Jungle Run”.

Very Kewl!

I haven’t gone on a jungle trail type event in years and I don’t know why, they are always the most fun. The last one I attended was with metalic plates and you went along a mile long trail with a 12 guage.

Speaking of firearms competition events, I have been conversing with Jerry the Geek and he linked me to this event: The Northwest Challenge

It is basically a two-day, themed IPSC event held about two hours north of my locale.

I have not shot IPSC in more years than I care to admit (I normally used to only shoot IDPA events), but I am seriously thinking of going to this.

After you all take a look around, let me know if anyone out there would be interested in joining me there.

Red America/Blue America

Sorry to bring up the color barrier thing, but the post below brought it out of me.

Blue America:

A parolee with a history of violence and mental illness was indicted Friday in the slayings of a pregnant Riverside woman and her unborn child, and prosecutors said they will seek the death penalty in the case.

Tony Lee Reynolds, 23, was indicted on 14 felonies, including the killings of Estela Perez and her unborn daughter, Michelle. Perez was sexually assaulted and stabbed to death March 31 in her home near the city’s Fairmount Park. [ed. note – Perez was stabbed at least 33 times, including in the eye.]

At a morning news conference, police and prosecutors described the Perez slaying as heinous. Perez, 29, had her throat slashed, and she had been stabbed numerous times in the stomach, legs, and chest, court records show.

Red America:

The teenage boy fatally shot June 12 in Richmond’s East End apparently was not as dangerous as he looked to the man who killed him.

Law enforcement sources involved in the case said Rodvon Daymetric Brown, 14, was carrying an unloaded, .22-caliber rifle when he got off his bicycle and approached a 47-year-old man sitting in his car at 24th Street and Fairmount Avenue around 11:40 p.m.

An ammunition magazine from an AK-47, also unloaded, had been duct-taped to the barrel of the rifle, giving it more of an appearance as a deadly assault weapon, the sources said.

The man inside the car, however, had a loaded, 40 mm semiautomatic handgun.

They’re feeling sorry for themselves again

Since it doesn’t look like they’re going to get anywhere with their attempt to get Karl Rove fired for telling the truth, some on the left are taking part in what could be called “Bitch & Moan Therapy�.

Take this example.

NW blogger and author, Dave Neiwert of Orcinus, whom I have written about previously here at RNS, was emailed this photo of a window cling/sticker

It was supposedly taken somewhere in the vicinity of the Gay Pride festivities in San Francisco.

So, of course, the leftists have to get all boogiemanned-out and cry about how this 3x4in piece of adhesive plastic is going to cause someone to hurt them.

They all seem to have very conveniently forgotten about this shirt from earlier this year.

If I remember correctly, it was quite a hot seller before the procurer took it down.

So let us see here; direct call to murder a political foe versus a joke sticker that also comes in “Terrorist� and “Spammer�configurations.

Yep, the left are a bunch of self-absorbed drama queens making a mountain out of a mole hill.

If anyone stopping by today remembers any other examples of left wingers death-wishing on Republicans, please leave me a message in either in my email box or in the comments.

I vaguely remember a shirt about Bush with a set of crosshairs on his head or some sort of veiled threat. If you remember it, let me know.
