Fascinating. Hard to swallow Bobby Seale as one of the early defenders of the 2A, but he as actually preceded by blacks down South who stood up to the KKK.
The article shows, once again, that the pushback against the 2A is all about perception, and always was.
That makes Alan Gura’s strategy of selling the 2A as a natural civil right even more important, and even more obvious.
