Pretty amazing stuff. I can identify some of it as fake before the reveal, but not all. The walking sequence at about 1:30 shows a technical capability I didn’t think existed yet.
I wonder if kids a decade from now will look back at this sort of thing the way we look at Dukes of Hazzard or CHipS road sequences now and say, “that’s so obviously fake!” I remember, as a kid, being able to identify VFX that my parents thought were real.
hat tip: Joe. My. God., who elsewhere is surprised that anti-gay California idiot Ryan Sorba was booed off the stage at CPAC. Dude, I’ve been a California Republican since ’94 and I could have told you years ago that bigots like Sorba were on the way out in Republican politics.
…and we’re very close to not needing real actors either. A score of years more, and all movie stuidos will be is a creative team, a large bunch of computer wizards, and lots of computing power. Almost to the point of the Michael Crichton movie “Looker”, without the murder and the temporary amnesia gun.
