One thing that’s unusual about Alan Gura (at center) is the aggressiveness with which he handles filings in his suits. Most civil attorneys in my experience

and drag the case out (for strategic reasons, generally — it’s a big game of chicken, making the other side pay more in attorney’s fees, etc.).
Gura, on the other hand, will file motions for summary judgment real damn quick. Makes the other side scramble, as well as indicating that he’s got a really strong case.
He (and SAF) filed for summary judgment in Palmer today. Go read the filings (especially the Memorandum in Support) — it’s good.
