What a Time

The Christmas parties were their usual smashing successes, each and every one. Now that things have settled down here at home I can post up this quick report before hitting the hay.

The first gathering was at the North Dorm where I drank Nog and punch and sang carols with some of the first year students. The most endearing memory I’ll take away from it was Ms. Monica diligently waiting for Santa to drop down the chimney. Before I left I instructed one of the older students to distract her long enough so that they could get the presents distributed under the tree. I imagine Ms. Monica was disappointed that she missed Santa yet again this year.

I next went to the West Dorm to the second year students. I had trouble getting into that party because of a student who was being difficult. Ms. Christina absolutely would not believe that it was me knocking at the door and took it upon herself to barr all entrants after 11pm. You see, she has this uncontrollable fear of elves and someone thought it would be funny to tell her that Saint Nick was bringing them along this year to help. Poor girl.

My third year students in the East Dorm had a different brand of fun planned that I really shouldn’t talk about. Let’s just say that they play a little rougher than the rest and I’ll be needing a new shirt. That and I cannot find my shoes.

Oh well, Ms Luanne, my teaching assistant, still very much enjoyed receiving her new laptop after the horseplay was over.

And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to bed. Both Ms. Luanne and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas holiday.
