Seattle Downtown Not Safe?

Who knew?

While I can see the utility of more foot patrols, and I like the laws telling panhandlers to get away from people.  I don’t understand why the city feels the need to make the city MORE attractive to the homeless by offering to house them, unless that housing is going to be on an island with no regular ferry service.

My ex-gf used to work swing shift, and after her shift she would ride her bicycle for exercise through Seattle… at like 1-3 AM. It drove me insane, but she never seemed to think anything of it.
