Robotic shipboard fire hoses that will target and spray anything that gets too close to the ship. One would also hope it would detect and put out any topside fires as well.

Those look like fire monitors to me and depending on pump pressure and volume can blow a human (or in the case of Somalis, humanoid) skull to foam and splatter at 30-40 meters. And since they seem to be designed by Russians I’d wager they are fully capable of decapitating any dufus who tries to board a ship so equipped. One could hope so, anyway. They might even be able to be depressed to such an angle as to tear a pirate inflatable to pieces in the water. That would be quite amusing as well. I’m told that the waters off the Somali coast are well populated with sharks. 50 or a hundred kilos of pork based chum over the side as soon as pirates are sighted would increase the amusement factor by orders of magnitude.

Probably far more capable than the M60, which is a POS. (First bad sign: Your MG has to be held together with bailing wire…)
