Really?

Melissa Etheridge doesn’t think she has to pay her California state taxes until she has equal representaiton under the law to marry who she wants?

So does this mean that the “Rich” people The Obamessiah wants to tax into oblivion don’t have to pay their taxes until they get 25% more representation to equal their tax burden?

For some odd reason, I don’t think she’d agree with that.

  1. Rivrdog says:

Posing as tax resisters, then paying up just before the warrant is issued is an old stunt for liberals. They’ve been doing this since at least the Vietnam War, maybe longer.

A few on the right have also used this tactic, which pretty much guarantees the individual their 15 minutes of foam (at the mouth) in front of the cameras.

    Much ado about nothing.

The IRS still has the hammer to pound these nails which stick up from the board.

  2. Mark says:

Representation without taxation is tyranny of the productive.

If the right to vote was limited to those that can prove net tax paid, the Dems would be less powerful than the Libertarians.

Another Good Idea we won’t see implemented.

  3. Windy Wilson says:

She has every right to marry whoever she wishes, the same as a straight woman. She has every right to love whoever she wishes.
Just what is the issue here that she and so many other crybabies need to throw over 6,000 years of (non-dead-white-European-male) culture?
The gay movement in California is throwing a gargantuan tantrum over the passage of Prop 8.
    Crybabies.

  4. More and more of us are WAKING UP, America. No taxation without equality; simple math.

Now the feds will need to repeal DOMA and DADT, grant us FULL equal rights (including marriage), and begin to start viewing our families – OUR FAMILIES – as the tax-paying contributing members of society we are…..well…..we USED to be!

Because if our HOMES, our FAMILIES, our very BELOVED are not acknowledged and valued as other families are legally, whatever we do outside of that home will never be acknowledged and valued legally, such as adopting children, working without discrimination, or serving openly in the military.

FAMILY FIRST. What is more important than FAMILY?

We owe the IRS absolutely NOTHING until equal. NOTHING. Get it?

    This is NOT a test.
    This is NOT a debate.
    This is NOT a vote.
This is definitely NOT a popularity contest.

This IS justice – GAY TAX PROTEST.
