Seeing as how at least CBS and NBC decided that it was more important to broadcast their commentators talking amongst themselves than Fred Thompson’s speech at the RNC last night, here is the video.

It isn’t just at political conventions. It’s become fashionable, maybe even REQUIRED, for commentators covering a live event of ANY kind to talk so much that the entire event is impossible to take in.

ESPN is notorious for their gabby MNF crew (Kornheiser should be gut-shot), and I’ve found that my new Eton 350 long-range radio will get a weak ESPN-Radio station which carries the same ballgame, so I turn off the TV sound, turn on the radio, and put up with the 3-second TV delay. Radio still has to do adequate play-by-play.
