The Washington State Department of Ecology is pushing a ban on lead, including, but in no way limited to, 95% of ammunition on the market.
Tuesday the 16th was the Seattle meeting for public comment and yesterday was the Spokane meeting. Looking at the notices and files, it appears that these meetings were set up on Monday the 15th, so you know they’re up to something bad.

You can try sending an email to (Barely) Governor Gregoire, and seeing as how we are within six weeks of the election it might have an impact.
Personally, I’m going to be requesting more public hearings on this issue. It will affect millions of Washingtonians and deserves more than one no notice hearing per side of the state.
