So local hate-monger and blogger, David Neiwert gets his eyeballs on an old photo of Sarah Palin (circa 1995) and sees her sitting with a current for the time issue of the The John Birch Society’s Con Con Call newsletter, causing him to spasm into the pit of hatred that is the FireDogLake blog a dumb, stupid, ignorant question:
“Is Sarah Palin a closet Bircher?”
Of course, he didn’t bother to wonder these things to himself while he investigated anything. No, Ben Smith at The Politico handled that angle afterwards. I would send folks that-a-way for a moderately satisfactory answer to Neiwerts pointy-headed question.
Of course, if Neiwert were the “investigator” he claimed to be, he would have known that The Birchers have already settled their minds on Palin, calling her “Republican Arm Candy” as they gathered round the campfire, whispering their ignorant theories and hoping for a bombing at the debates.
