Liars and the lies they tell

So yeah, the whole ‘The Feds interrogated me because I wanted to read Mao’s Little Red Book’ story by the UMass student was bullshit.

Like we didn’t see that coming. That book is checked out by thousands of college students a year and none of them were interviewed, so why should we have believed that this kid was? Oh, because the story about the tapping of international calls came out just days before? Pfffft!

I’m sorry, I’m all for distrusting the government at every opportunity, but members of the ‘Hate-Bush above all else’ sect in this country are right up there on my “Do Not Trust list.

They don’t exactly have an exceptional record as this post by Michelle Malkin and the list of other leftie lies at the bottom of it shows.

Murdoc chimes in with similar sentiments,

Why is it that virtually all of the total crock stories are anti-Bush/War? Shouldn’t these honest mistakes fall more or less evenly across the board? Does the media more-readily swallow the stories that support their position? Or are there more liars on the Left?

My answer to his first two questions is that the left needs to come up with these BS stories so that the country can at least seem to be as bad as they all say it is. The left is always bringing up the word ‘fascist’, but because they have no actual evidence to prove their claim, they make up lies to try and dramatize their lives so that they can feel truly persecuted. The more you are persecuted, the more folks on the left respect you. The only saving grace for the right is that most of them are horrible liars.

And that is also the reason that there aren’t more BS stories from folks on the right. We don’t have a reason to lie to one another; our taxes are oppressive, a real right to keep and bear arms is severely infringed, government is too large, and most of all, institutions like the media and universities are openly hostile to conservatives.

Just look at this kid’s professor. He ate this story up and went immediately to the local media and told them. He asked few or no probing questions and neither did the media that help spread the lie. Here is a free tip: people who work for government agencies are issued business cards with their name on them. If have a brain in your head, you will ask for one after their badges are presented so that you know who to subpoena later on when you take their ass to court. That, and you paid for the card, get your property back.

If someone claiming to have been interviewed by the FBI cannot produce a name and a business card, they’re lying. Or they are very, very stupid.

Which answers his third question; yes, the media will ignore the concerns of conservatives, just look at what they did to Bush’s plans to social security. Not only did they ignore any and all talking points he brought up, they would let left wing pundits yell and scream at right wing pundits and accuse them of wanting to steal grandma’s check next month. Never mind that the money WILL run out and that folks of my generation WILL NOT see a single red cent of the thousands they’ve contributed unless the system is fixed soon. The message was “Bush hates old people and FDR was a GOD!!

Or try the UN ‘Oil for Food’ scandal on for size. Liberals hated that their beacon of light was busted doing something underhanded and kept trying to stomp that story into a mudhole. Unfortunately for them, the mudhole was too small to contain it and they couldn’t squish it down anymore.

While I think that everyone lies just a little bit about something, I do think that there may be a slighter greater number of liars on the left. This is simply because the Democratic Socialism they believe in is in itself a lie and a farce. It has been proven a failure over and over, but they still have a mindset that if we just give it one more try, everything will work out this time. Living that lie creates a culture that says it is OK to lie about your political opponents and thei motives, so long as it fuels your actions.

Blogosphere headquarters for the Democratic Socialist movement, Daily Kos, had four separate front-page posts on the original story. They then had only one poster put up a post on the retraction.

In the comments of the retraction post, the Kos Kids writings were all about how “Well, if Bush hadn’t given us a reason to believe it, we wouldn’t have to which I call bullshit. They’d have believed the story if it had come out this last summer, months before the phone tapping story hit the newswires. They want to believe the everything bad about this administration that they hear, they want to feel as if they are persecuted and they want a reason to believe the worst about this country.

Maybe if their mamas had hugged them more or something they wouldn’t be such whiny bitches?
