Count ANY Vote: Part Dvadtsat Pyat

Now that things have settled down here at Casa de Analog, let me fill you in on the new happenings in the selection of our latest Governor.

When we last left the situation, the court case was still on hold with the next court date being set for late May and two King County Council Members had requested that the director of the KCEO step down for his incompetence this last go around and his office’s faked absentee ballot report.

Last week King County Executive Ron ‘Tax to the Max’ Simms not only turned down the Washington Secretary of State’s offer to investigate the situation and instead started up one of those super-duper ‘Blue Ribbon’ committees called the “Commission on Elections to look into the KCEO actions.

There is one problem though; it seems that in order to get appointed to be on this Commission, you must have had to donate money to either Simms campaign or to Gregoire’s.

Yeah, that sounds about par for the course around these parts.

Thankfully, while some of the citizens of the county might have been fooled by Simms’ delaying tactic, the Council wasn’t and voted unanimously for an audit of the KCEO yesterday. So now we’ll see where that goes.

Now, some folks might be starting to think about saying “Aww, c’mon guys. Give it up! Let it be and come back strong in 2008.

Sorry, but I can’t support that and here is why,

Thanks to the Democrat controlled houses of the state legislature, Gregoire was able to sign into law a bill that takes away the citizen approved Initiative 601 requirement for a supermajority in order to raise taxes. The Democrats in both houses need this in order to pass their new tax-hiking budget and she was more than willing to provide her signature.

One shining star to come out of this debacle that I want you all to keep is the link to this story because it contains this line from Gregoire:

“I am one who believes in a majority vote … open and transparent and directly honest with the voters.”

Let’s see how many other Democrats see things in her vein, especially nationally. Probably not many once this is over and forgotten by them.

Because you must remember:

When the Republicans control the Executive and Legislative branches of government, it is tyranny.

When Democrats control them, it is Democracy In Action.

Unsurprisingly, Gregoire signed this latest piece of legislation with very little fanfare and she has been doing a lot of ‘Feel Good-Photo Op’ bill signings with lots of cute little kiddies and balloons to draw the attention of the populace and make her look good.

Like this bill to make the Killer Whale the Official Washington State Marine Mammal of Washington. Killer Whale supporters prefer that everyone call the beast an “Orca, but the thing swims about hunting and killing sharks and cute little seals and eating them, the murderous bastard that it is. So screw them, it’s a Killer Whale.

Or how about this worthless piece of legislation that changes King County’s namesake from William Rufus Devane King, Vice President to Franklin Pierce, to Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr.

What the fuck, Chuck?!?

How damned useless can you get? While I personally cannot name a single damned thing ol’ Willy King ever did except die shortly after taking the oath of office, I know for damned sure that this empty gesture isn’t worth the paper Gregoire signed.

But then again, that is all the Democrat Party is good for, isn’t it; Empty Gestures and Moral Sactimony.

So we have the Democrats getting their girl into office under dishonorable means and complete denial of that fact, they then proceed to void citizen enacted legislation so that they can steal more money while smoke-screening the people with legislation written on ass wipe tissue.

Is it time to lock and load yet?
